Our Vision: We are committed to become a nationally recognized, full-service Fire Department.

Our Core Values: Service Partnership Integrity Respect Innovation Trust

For 60 years, the Abilene Fire Department has worked in conjunction with Texas Engineering Extension Service to provide training and continuing education hours to hundreds of area volunteer firefighter. These firefighters are trained in a variety of topics when they attend the Annual Abilene Fire Conference. The courses include classroom-style lectures and hands-on  training.

Thanks to appropriations from the Great State of Texas, TEEX is able conduct these courses at no charge to fire departments or individual students. A very small fee to cover the cost of operational expenses is all it costs. Unless otherwise stated, anyone interested in a particular course may attend.

Click here and join the TEEX mailing list if you would like to be notified of  upcoming training opportunities.
